Who's Writing This?

The shifty facts behind the shady character who is me

The way it stands (more the way i stand): I am a 31 year old artist living and working in Fort Myers, Florida. I was born in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania near the "Flood Free City" of Johnstown. An artist and writer by socialization (i was given more coloring books than toys, and the toys were along the lines of spirograph, etchasketch and so on) and a traveller due to the stars (full-blooded centaur, er, sagittarius), I have lived in Maine, Boston, Brooklyn, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tampa, and here. I have witnessed Flamenco in Spain, danced on the table at Oktoberfest, toured a cheese factory in Hungary, wandered through Prague, eaten my fill in Italy, drank my fill in Belgium, teetered on the edge of the Grand Canyon, kneeled down in the Garden of the Gods, ferried over Puget Sound, and that is about the half of it.

Filled with the fire of desire, i strive to present a view wholly personal. I wish for others to take this view and make it their own; i am open to interpretation.

In less cryptic terms, i am a survivor. Diagnosed at 15 with a cancer that claimed a leg and a small piece of a lung, i stand sure-footed in the truth. As a writer, i have written two unpublished works of poetry, a catalog of 200 cheeses with original descriptions and supporting text for a nationally known gourmet shop, and continue work on several ongoing projects, including an illustrated children's book. As an artist, i have created several murals, designed hurricane-proof signs, transformed old whiskey barrels into original garbage receptacles, as well as record in ink and paint, on paper and canvas, hundreds of mythological characters. As a graphic designer, i have typeset and designed interiors, covers and imprints for several nonfiction books; art exhibition announcements; various letterheads and business cards, in addition to more direct mail than I care to disclose. Working as a jack of all trades with a sack of potatoes on my back and up a ladder with a paint brush in my hand, i cannot recall a negative job evaluation outside of my hair being a bit unkempt. If you need an idea, a creative one with results, i'm the man for the job.

Please contact me with any visual problem you may have and i will provide you with an original solution with a quick turnover.
